Viso G7 and Viso G5

The next generation is here

The Planmeca Viso imaging units are an impressive step forward in the evolution of cone beam technology. From innovative patient positioning to intelligent field of view adjustments, these units elevate the imaging experience to a new level, while also providing exceptional comfort for your patients.

Two units – the same extraordinary features and outstanding image quality. The units only differ in their volume sizes.

Highlights at a glance

Viso G7

Single 19 x 30 cm scans covering the entire maxillofacial area can be acquired without the need for stitching. The volume size can be adjusted freely from 3 x 3 to 30 x 30 cm. Maximum volume with a single scan: 30 x 20 cm. Maximum volume with multiple vertical scans: 30 x 30 cm.

Viso G5

Single 20 x 10 cm scans covering the entire jaw area can be acquired without the need for stitching. The volume size can be adjusted freely
from 3 x 3 to 20 x 17 cm. Maximum volume with a single scan: 20 x 10 cm. Maximum volume with multiple vertical scans: 20 x 17 cm

Live virtual FOV positioning

Patient positioning is done directly from the Planmeca Viso’s control panel utilising integrated cameras and a live patient view. You can see the patient live from the control panel for flexible and exact FOV positioning.

Movement Artifact Correction

As the first end-user solution for patient movement correction in the industry, the Planmeca CALM™ algorithm not only saves clinicians time, but also guards patients from unnecessary exposures. It works with all volume and voxel sizes and adds less than 30 seconds to the overall reconstruction time.

Ultra Low Dose imaging

All Planmeca CBCT units offer the unique Planmeca Ultra Low Dose imaging protocol. This allows clinicians to acquire 3D images at significantly lower effective patient doses without a statistical reduction in image quality.

Improved Planmeca ProFace photos

Planmeca Viso has introduced a new way of capturing Planmeca ProFace facial photos. The unit’s sensor has four built-in cameras and LED light strips for capturing highly detailed 3D photographs. You can combine them with intraoral scans and CBCT images of your patient to enrich 3D treatment plans – creating a virtual patient.

Cutting edge endodontic imaging

Noise is often inherent to endodontic imaging due to the high resolution required to capture small details. The 3D endodontic imaging mode for Planmeca Viso combats this issue and allows capturing clear and smooth CBCT images that are perfect for endodontics. In addition to new unit deliveries, the new imaging mode is available for existing units with a software update.

Cephalostat option with – Planmeca ProCeph

Planmeca Viso can be equipped with a Planmeca ProCeph one-shot cephalostat. One-shot ceph acquisition takes less than a second and eliminates the risk of patient movement. It is particularly beneficial when imaging young children and other patients that have a tendency to move during imaging.
